Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, and any other details you submit through our waitlist, signup forms, or other interactions.
• Verification data: one-time codes we send by SMS or email and your responses to them, used to confirm ownership of a contact method.
• Referral data: referral codes shared with or by you, and the resulting attribution.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and similar telemetry, collected automatically when you use the Services.
• Cookies and similar technologies: small data files stored on your device to operate the Services and measure performance.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
• Verify that a phone number or email address belongs to the person submitting it;
• Manage the Mochatrade waitlist, including position, referrals, and access invitations;
• Communicate with you about the Services, including transactional notices and product updates;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms.

3. SMS messaging

When you provide your phone number, you may receive a one-time verification code by SMS. Message frequency is limited to verification codes you request and related transactional messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for assistance.

We do not share mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data, with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you have requested.

4. How we share information

We share information only as described below:

• Service providers: vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as Supabase (database and authentication), Twilio (SMS delivery), Cloudflare (bot mitigation via Turnstile), and PostHog (product analytics). These providers are bound by contract to use information only as we direct.
• Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mochatrade, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.
• With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at chet@mochatrade.com.

8. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International users

Mochatrade is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that information we collect may be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where required, by additional notice.
